By accessing or using Synks, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Synks provides a cloud-based platform for creative review and collaboration. The service includes: • File uploads and visual feedback (images, videos, documents, websites, 3D models, and Figma designs) • Pin-point commenting, drawing annotations, and approval workflows • Team workspaces with role-based permissions • Project management tools including dashboards, Gantt timelines, checklists, time tracking, revenue tracking, and invoicing • Third-party integrations with Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Monday.com, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Figma • An AI assistant for project management tasks • Client-facing project hubs and file delivery • A free tier and paid subscription plans (Pro and Business)
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Team workspace owners may invite members and assign roles (owner, admin, member, viewer) with configurable permissions. Workspace owners are responsible for managing access within their team.
You agree not to: • Use the service for any unlawful purpose • Upload harmful, offensive, or infringing content • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems • Interfere with other users' access to the service • Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, misleading, or unlawful content • Share guest review links with the intent to harass or spam recipients • Exceed reasonable usage limits for your plan tier We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to suspend accounts engaged in abusive behavior.
You retain full ownership of all content you upload, including files, designs, comments, and other creative assets. By using our service, you grant us a limited, revocable license to host, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your files, designs, or other creative assets. Content shared via guest review links or project hubs remains your property. Recipients of shared links do not gain ownership rights. Upon account deletion, all your content will be removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you use Synks to process personal data of your clients or team members (e.g., via guest review links, shared project hubs, team invitations, or email notifications), you act as the data controller and we act as a data processor. Our processing of such data is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws including GDPR. If you require a formal Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for your organization, please contact us at hello@synks.io and we will provide one.
Synks connects with third-party services including Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Monday.com, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Figma. When you connect an integration: • You authorize Synks to access your account on that service with the permissions you grant via OAuth • You can disconnect any integration at any time via Settings • We only request the minimum permissions necessary for the integration to function • Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies • We are not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services You are responsible for ensuring that your use of integrations complies with the third-party service's terms.
Synks includes an AI assistant that can help manage projects, search connected integrations, draft communications, and perform other tasks on your behalf. By using the AI assistant: • You acknowledge that AI-generated content may not always be accurate • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any actions the AI performs • Team workspace admins can control whether the AI assistant can modify data • AI interactions may be processed by third-party AI providers subject to their terms
Synks offers a free tier and paid subscription plans: • Free: Limited features at no cost • Pro: Billed monthly or annually with expanded features • Business: Billed monthly or annually with full features and team capabilities Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Additional team seats may be purchased as add-ons to your subscription.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will provide advance notice when possible.
Synks is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Upon account deletion or termination: • You may request export of your data before deletion • Personal data will be removed within 30 days • Integration connections will be revoked • Shared review links and project hubs will become inaccessible • Some data may be retained longer where required by law (see our Privacy Policy) • Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Oslo, Norway. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU/EEA law.
